Corey Biggs: Andres you have been seen and one of the leading up and coming techno producer in the South American region and have been getting quite a major amount of support from the techno nation. Please tell us how you define techno music?

Andres Gil: Thank you very much, well, for me the definition of Techno music is very abstract, the definition is depending on what everyone feels, listening to Techno. Personally, I define it as dance, harmony, euphoria, happiness. I think it is difficult to define it well, because everyone feels the music in different ways and can not be described. Techno is not described, it a feeling!.

Corey Biggs: Your latest remix, Claudio Petroni – Destroyed (Andres Gil Refluxed’s Remix) on Doot Records , Can you tell us about it and how you came about to work with Doot Records and Claudio Petroni

Andres Gil:when I started I was able to press a single in “Doot Records” is called “Mythological Gods” … then contact me “Tony Mafia” for a remix, then “Emanuelle Milozzi & Claudio Petroni” for a remix of your track “Dark Side” now again “Claudio Petroni” remix for his track “Destroyed”, which will be released on 6 June this year, really is a bomb!.
Corey Biggs: With Regards to being a producer/dj these days; how do you feel the music dance community is in helping younger artist such as yourself move from where you are to where they are presently in a career standpoint?
Do you see more artist invested more in what they can get out of new artist to propel their career or is it few and far between with true intrinsic value?
Andres Gil:I think that everything is part of both, business and feeling. but personally, I’ve noticed that all I have reached out, without any interest, just to help, feeling, perceiving achievement so I.

Corey Biggs:With Regards to Colombia and the EDM music scene can you give up a clear picture of the scene as the we all know the women are Top , so tell us what clubs, and venues are hot at moment.

Andres Gil:It Great that you say that women are better, because I do not think. I look at women for more than for outside as perception perceives talent, this image is sexy, and is easier to sell in the market, but I must say, that as there are good women with talent, too, there are many who do not have no idea of what they do, it’s the same with men, there are good and bad.

Corey Biggs:For Artist/producers looking for production insight can you give three keys of advice to help make their production better than good?

Andres Gil:the first advice I give to all is love, the second is: dedication and feeling, and the last one: open your mind and listen to different genres of music. if what you really love, you will find how to do better every day.

Corey Biggs:With the upcoming summer where can we see you playing worldwide and anyplace special you are looking to play in future?

Andres Gil:
So I think for the month of July I will be in Mexico, I hope to get more dates there, in the not far away in the “Awakenings Festival” … I also want to go all over Europe, I am looking for developers interested. for the moment I am working on my music.

Corey Biggs: What is your favorite type of food to eat if a girl was going to cook diner to impress you. What would it be?

Andres Gil:hahaha, really I am very easy to lunchtime, I would impress me with anything, so, look good to the eye, has a delicious taste.

Corey Biggs: What are some of the artist you are looking to collaborate with in future in productions and playing in 2012?

Andres Gil:/woow, it’s hard to answer because I am fan of many artists, but could point out to “Sasha Carassi, Subfractal, Joseph Capriati, Gary Beck, Chris Liebing, Monoloc, Brian Sanhaji, Adam Beyer, Hans Bouffmyhre, Len Faki, A. Mochi , Psyk, Alberto Pascual, Gayle San, Rino Cerrone, Drumcell, Audio Injection … well among many others, the truth would be a very long list, there are very good artists around the world, with whom I like to do a collaboration and sharing stage.

Corey Biggs: What would you describe you set like if it was your favorite candy to eat?

Andres Gil:/ mmm, I love chocolate, Hershey’s, M&M…

Corey Biggs: Where do you plan to see your career in 5 years and what are 3 things you hope to accomplish?

Andres Gil:I just hope my career, being the best djs / producers in America, and be among the top worldwide. clear that, in the genre TECHNO! : D … for that reason, I still work every day, who said this was an easy job fast? hahaha
