The „Places EP” is the debut of “My 2nd Wife”, the born new Polish project of Piotr Bejnar and Akme (Maciek Kochański), released in Otake Records, Polish labels with the unique goal of the promotion of Polish artists, who support themselves in music and life.
„My 2nd Wife” – talented duo, met accidentally, in the car, heading to Berlin for a gig. After a great event, which heavily banged the land at the Spree River, they realized that their approach, plans and demands for music were similar. They declared that their new undertaking had to become reality.
Extensive DJ experience, increasing amounts of domestic and overseas bookings and fast evolving portfolios by both producers (e.g. Mo’s Ferry Productions, Resopal Schallware, Numbolic Records, Night Drive Music, Recovery Tech, Sensefloor, etc.) have hailed MY 2 ND WIFE “probably the hottest collaboration on techno scene” by muno.pl. The unique style of MY 2ND WIFE is the result of solid minimal, hard tech-house and techno with strongly accented shaman fascinations. The main goal is delving into the human soul, knowing the line of consciousness and reaching the nirvana state of mind, which is so hard to get for people in the West.
Their first album called „Places EP” includes tracks which names are inspired by places where they played together. „Circus Tent” – their favorite scene for years on Audioriver Festival and ”Oak Stage” – the main stage on Summer Contrast festival.
There are also two remixes by the artists: DEAS from Krakow and Boyd Schidt (Tbilisi).
DEAS is one of the most expressive artists of the Polish electronic music scene in recent years. He recorded for such prestigious labels as Kevin Saunderson’s KMS Records, British BUSH Records (that also released Joey Beltram, Felix DaHauscat, Dave Clarke), Baroque Rec., Deeperfect, Monique Musique, or Proton. He was remixed by such artists as Pig & Dan, Harvey McKay, and Martin Eyerer, he also remixes other artists – including Carl Cox or Christian Cambas.
Boyd Schidt is a producer with over a decade of work already under his belt whose first releases emerged in 2007. As a solo artist, his career dates to 2010 with digital releases on Georgia’s FRONT REC, Mo’s Ferry and Emote Music, and a track on the new vinyl compilation from studio r° also solo vinyl on Waveform Records.
