Amsterdam-born BORIS WERNER has been a resident of Welcome to the Future – both the festival and the parties in Studio 80 – for a solid 7 years now. This bad boy of the Amsterdam scene made his name as a DJ at innumerable deep underground afterparties – often performing as a DJ-team with another champion of the deep underground, Lauhaus.

Werner is one of the true ambassadors of the new house sound, that has become the lifeblood of Amsterdam clublife in recent years. With a deep, fluid, groovy and definitely left-field style that will make any dancefloor come to life, Werner is a real hero when it comes to playing very, very long sets. He actually holds the Dutch record thanks to his legendary 15,5 hour set at his ‘Boris Werner Wip Wap show’ in Studio 80 in january 2013.

Together with William Kouam Djoko, Werner also hosts his own clubnight at Amsterdam club Trouw, Late Night Society, where he regularly invites artists like Seth Troxler, dOP, Ion Ludwig, Tom Trago, Jamie Jones, Visionquest and San Proper. His fame as one of the best DJ’s of the Netherlands really has crossed the international borders, as he plays all over the world, from the Panoramabar in Berlin or Rex in Paris to the Circoloco parties at DC10, Ibiza.

As a producer Werner made his debut six years ago on the Amsterdam Remote Area, but has since then moved on to quality labels like Rush Hour, Moon Harbour, Get Physical and Soweso (the label of Lauhaus and Kabale), which presented his biggest hit to date: the excellent ‘Slow Dancin’ EP’. (2012).
